Melody promete en ‘La Revuelta’ que su baile en Eurovisión tendrá un guiño al programa: “Lo voy a incluir”

Melody gained prominence in 2001 as a child with the hit El Baile del Gorila. Now, after winning the Benidorm Fest, she is set to represent Spain at the Eurovision Festival on May 17 in Switzerland with her song Esa Diva. The artist, who appeared on La Revuelta this Monday, revealed that competing in Eurovision is one of the most significant dreams of her career. Despite being hospitalized for health issues just a day prior to the final of the Benidorm Fest, the Sevillian took to the stage and won over the jury and the audience, securing the coveted bronze microphone.
During the interview, Melody expressed her excitement regarding her achievement and reflected on what it means for her to represent her country: “It feels amazing to go to Eurovision. I am very proud to represent my country. We’re going to rock it! We’re going to elevate Spain above the ozone layer!,” she stated.
After her victory at the Benidorm Fest, Melody chose to celebrate quietly with her partner, Ignacio Batallán, and their son, Cairo. The artist confessed to David Broncano that she didn’t indulge too much because she felt quite exhausted. “I didn’t go overboard because I was a bit tired. I’m planning to enjoy it more once I rest,” she mentioned.

Melody also highlighted the positive environment among the participants of the Benidorm Fest, despite it being a competition. She emphasized that camaraderie and mutual respect defined the interactions among the candidates. “There has been a lot of camaraderie, everyone has been very positive. Sometimes you might form a first impression of someone without really knowing them, but then you realize you were wrong, but I won’t name names. Someone I initially misjudged ended up being really nice,” she noted, hinting at some surprises she encountered while getting to know her fellow contestants.
During her appearance on the TVE program, Melody made a promise that has excited her fans. She assured that she will incorporate a nod to the show in her performance at St. Jakobshalle, the venue that will host the 69th edition of the musical contest. This idea sparked when Broncano suggested that the choreography for Esa Diva could include a gesture mimicking a drum, a characteristic instrument of the show. “I’m definitely going to include that,” Melody affirmed, adding that she also performed her song live for the audience at Teatro Gran Vía in Madrid.
While the final choreography for Esa Diva is still in the works, Melody shared that she is diligently working to perfect every detail of her performance for Eurovision. The singer is determined to leave an unforgettable mark on the contest. With her experience in the music industry and the support of the public, Melody is preparing to represent her country with pride and passion, aiming to elevate Spain to new heights in this European competition.
