The singer Yahaira Plasencia astonished her followers on social media with a peculiar reaction after speculation arose regarding why former football player Jefferson Farfán has not made his relationship with Xiomy Kanashiro official after they were spotted together in Piura.
As previously mentioned, during the premiere episode of Magaly TV La Firme, host Magaly Medina claimed that the reason the ex-footballer has not publicly presented Xiomy as his partner is somehow linked to Yahaira.
The presenter suggested that Farfán might still be affected by his past relationship with the artist, which was marked by a notable controversy involving infidelity. Recall that the romance between Yahaira and Jefferson ended amidst rumors of betrayal after Jerson Reyes claimed the singer had been unfaithful to ‘La Foquita’.
Since then, the former national team player has chosen to keep his personal life under wraps and refrain from publicly confirming his relationships. Despite the release of videos showcasing Farfán and Kanashiro in affectionate moments back in October, neither party has officially acknowledged their romance.
The member of ‘La casa de la Comedia’ even stated that she doesn’t require labels to define her relationship with the ex-footballer, asserting that ‘what is visible does not need questioning’. This was the last update shared by the popular ‘Chinita’ on her social media.
In light of this, the salsa singer Yahaira Plasencia shared a video on her social media, highlighting her love for being single and mental peace, which elicited significant reactions from her followers. In a post that many interpreted as a possible hint for Jefferson Farfán, Plasencia uploaded a video to her Instagram account with the phrase:
“Imagine how much I had to endure to love my solitude and mental peace today.” The post also featured a trend with the song Vida Gangster by Lauty Gram, where she imitated the singer’s signature dance moves.
The chorus of the song, featuring lines like “I put on my gloves and head to your house, babe, to steal you away, ey, tra, tra,” and “I can be your lover,” added even more buzz among her followers regarding this new hint.
This publication did not go unnoticed and sparked various reactions among her followers, with some supporting her empowering message while others suggested it could be a way to reignite the controversy surrounding her past relationship with the former footballer.

Through her comments, Magaly Medina not only analyzed the coinciding public appearances of Jefferson Farfán and Xiomy Kanashiro, but also emphasized the absence of an “officialization” in the relationship, which she believes is a pattern in the footballer’s love life.
Magaly, in her characteristic tone combining laughter and critique, stated: “Those images of holding hands and all cuddly like a couple in Máncora, in Piura, since October last year, and even now with certain coincidences,” she began her commentary.
