In the same match, the Manizales club officially unveiled their home jersey for the 2026 season to be worn at Palogrande stadium. This new design, produced by Reebok, symbolizes the partnership with the American brand of English descent and strengthens the club’s historical identity, being the first Colombian champion of the Copa Libertadores.
The Wednesday, January 21, brought more excitement for the white fans. On that day, through their X account, Once Caldas revealed the away jersey, notable for its use of black and white colors, maintaining elegance and tradition in the club’s attire.
To celebrate the launch, the team organized an event at the polideportivo in the La Cumbre neighborhood, where fans and players shared a unique experience. Figures such as Dayro Moreno, Michel Barrios, and James Aguirre took on modeling roles and participated in recreational activities, bringing the team closer to the fanbase.
During the event, the club also presented their squad for the season and took the opportunity to foster integration between players and fans.
Micro-soccer and group dynamics not only served as physical complements but also strengthened the sense of belonging and emotional bond with the Manizales community, which has always been essential in the history of Once Caldas.
In technical team news, the club has announced the arrival of Edigson “Prono” Velásquez as the new goalkeeper coach. The former goalkeeper, born in Pueblorrico (Antioquia), boasts a career of approximately 500 professional matches, demonstrating leadership and reliability between the posts.
His expertise will be crucial in developing the team’s goalkeepers, led by James Aguirre and the young talent Joan Parra, as well as serving as a mentor for the young prospects in the youth divisions.
Velásquez began his career as a goalkeeper coach after retiring with Águilas Doradas and later with Atlético Nacional. His sole title as a player came in 2008 with Boyacá Chicó, where they triumphed against América de Cali in the finals on penalties, a milestone that solidified his name in the national arena.
Now, his challenge is to contribute to the sports project of Blanco de la Montaña and strengthen one of the most critical positions in modern football.
On an individual level, Dayro Moreno continues to cement his legend. The Tolima striker, the all-time top scorer in Colombian professional football, reached 372 career goals after his double against Cúcuta Deportivo, surpassing Radamel Falcao García in the list of national scorers.
The Chicoral (Tolima) native is not only noted for his goal-scoring ability but also for his consistency: he is the first Colombian player to have scored in all competitions consecutively since his debut. He has made an impact on teams such as Once Caldas, Millonarios, Atlético Nacional, Atlético Bucaramanga, Junior, and Atlético Paranaense, among others.
