Andi solicitó mantener el aumento del 23,7% del salario mínimo tras advertir riesgos inflacionarios: “Sería muy complejo”
The president of the National Business Association of Colombia (Andi), Bruce Mac Master, has requested the maintenance of the 23.7% increase to the minimum wage for 2026, which was temporarily suspended by the Council of State.
In December 2025, during the start of the minimum wage negotiations and at the time of its decree, the association warned that an increase exceeding inflation and productivity could negatively impact formal employment in Colombia.

In an interview with Caracol Radio, Mac Master stated that reversing the minimum wage increase at this moment would be challenging for workers.
“For many of the 2.4 million workers, this has been a significant increase that they have already accounted for in their budgeting. It would be very difficult to backtrack at this moment,” affirmed the president of Andi.
