Super Astro has two draws that practically take place every day as follows:

• The Super Astro Sol is held from Monday to Saturday at 16:00 hours.
• The Super Astro Luna takes place from Monday to Friday at 22:50 hours, on Saturdays at 22:45 hours, and on Sundays, as well as holidays, at 20:30 hours.

Remember, you have a one-year period from the date of the draw to claim your prize; otherwise, it will be forfeited.

To claim the prize, you must present the original ticket without scratches or alterations, clearly legible; a photocopy of your citizenship ID enlarged to 150%; and the SIPLAFT format completely filled out, which you can find at any point of sale.

To participate and have the chance to win one of the millions of pesos in prizes from Super Astro, first, visit any of the Su Red or Super Giros points of sale. Alternatively, you can go online by visiting the official website or downloading the app of either authorized distributor.

Next, you need to choose the winning combination, which must consist of four digits from 0 to 9 plus a zodiac sign. You can also select from the 12 zodiac signs to enhance your chances of winning.

With your bet decided, you need to make a payment ranging from 500 pesos to 10,000 pesos per ticket. The higher the payment, the larger the prize for winning.

To win the grand prize, the four numbers and the sign of your bet must match the results of the day; however, you can also receive rewards for as little as two correct guesses.

The grand prize, for matching all four digits and the sign, is calculated by multiplying 42,000 times the amount staked. For those who match three digits plus the sign, the payout will be multiplied by 1,000 times the amount staked. Those who match two digits plus the sign will receive a prize of 100 times the stake.

It should be noted that prizes under 182 UVT ($8,565,830) will be paid at the authorized points of sale of each distributor. For prizes equal to or greater than 182 UV, the winner must visit a SuRed or Super Giros point of sale to formally claim the prize, which will then be paid at Banco de Occidente’s offices via check.

The Super Astro prizes are primarily subject to two taxes:

A 20% withholding tax, which applies only to prizes equal to or greater than 48 UVT (approximately $1,709,136 to $2,259,120 pesos, depending on the source). This withholding corresponds to a tax on winnings from games of chance.

The Financial Transaction Tax (GMF) or 4×1000 tax, which is charged on financial transactions made when depositing or withdrawing the prize money. This is an indirect tax and is borne by the prize winner.

Additionally, for prizes exceeding 182 UVT (around $6,600,000 to $8,500,000 according to different references), payments will be processed via bank transfer, with these deductions occurring before the winner receives the net amount. These taxes are mandatory and are withheld for compliance with Colombia’s tax regulations.
